Emergency Voting

if advanced goverance is in place with roles like auditor, ambassador etc.

Emergency votes - Current setup on 8/30/2023 with large community modding may want to propose another emergency voting route.

If one thing is missing from this I realized, from my time in a Dao is that it can be helpful to be a little more nimble at times as well. An emergency vote among the most active contributing members (roles 1 through 3 at the moment), ambassador mods and auditor arriving at a 2/3rd s majority from those immediately available, can implement a more swift action as soon as the same day.

A limited 7 day max duration before community input may cancel that action(s)If implemented. The community must be immediately informed of the emergency action once it is taken. 2 days later, a proposal can be started with a vote of the standard 5 day duration, voting to keep it in place or not. If it was a temporary action that is no longer needed before the vote is started or finished, it can be used as an opportunity to consider other possible situations that can be voted ahead of time by the community to prevent similar emergency actions.

Otherwise, the 2 day period before the vote starts gives time to formulate the rational for the quick decision in writing by the regular contributors, and inform the communityin more detail than the initial response, generate discussion and generate other possible solutions, before voting begins to possibly remove it. If the community feels its in opposition to the benefit of the sub, it can vote for it to be undone or removed. The community can also use the 2 day window before the vote begins to replace it or have another proposal run along side one with another.

In essence, the two proposals going up against one another. This leaves at least 3 or more possible outcomes on 2 or more proposals -Proposal 1 A. Keep emergency action in place, or 1B. Remove it. 1C Consider trying proposal being worked on (or finalized by larger community). The other proposal we’ll call proposal 2, has these options Proposal 2 A - Replace emergency actions with one the larger community has come up with as a possible solution or 2B = return the sub to the rule state of the pre emergency action. Community members are encouraged to vote on both proposals While technically all three or more actions could be placed on the same proposal, because the poster of the proposal may continue further edits, it may be best to have parallel proposals so that a strongly opposing viewpoint on the matter does not risk their words (and what they may see their intent and the meaning of their solution tampered with or otherwise not representative of their and their supporters thinking on the matter.
